African Relief Fund (ARF) is founded on the Islamic principles of brotherhood and the imperative to assist those less fortunate than ourselves. Our values of compassion, kindness and respect for all are guided by the actions and words of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) who said,
‘Whoever alleviates (the lot of) a needy person, Allah will alleviate (his lot) in this world and the next.’ (Muslim, 36).
We provide unconditional support to people facing crises in a dignified and honourable way.
ARF employs the following core values in planning and delivering our programmes:
To love and benefit others as we would ourselves, and to assist those who are in desperate need of help.
To improve lives with our humanitarian work and to deliver projects with honesty, sincere intention and humility.
To partner with like-minded organisations to deliver projects that alleviate the harsh conditions people experience.
To ensure donations are administered and programmes delivered with the highest levels of accountability and transparency.
To be responsive and flexible in an ever-changing environment to deliver our development programmes in efficient, sustainable ways that are relevant to local people and their conditions.
